About the Photographer
I just like to get out and have fun while doing all types of photography but here will be just a display of some of my wildlife and landscape photography which is about 75% of what I do. I used film, digital DSLR, and Digital mirrorless cameras. You will also see some infrared photography especially in landscapes.
My journey started in the early 1970’s while still in High School. I hope you enjoy the photography.
A Journey Inspired by Nature
With exposure growing up in a diverse family that farmed, hunting, fishing, and many days exploring the southern Appalachian Mountains along with the South East coastal areas inspired my wildlife and landscape photography,
However, it was my High School art teacher Tyler Herrington Daniel at Roswell High School, Roswell GA that inspired me to pursue photography. Even after high school she impressed on me that it was a skill developed over time and in most cased over a lifetime. I can’t thank her enough.
As a photographer I like to think I am committed to capturing the essence of the natural world. Years of exploring remote and observing wildlife have shaped a unique visual approach, blending technical skill with patience and respect for the environment.
Inspired by the ever-changing beauty of nature. I would love to tell you each photograph is carefully composed to highlight the intricate details and landscapes along with the nature that lives there. The truth is sometimes it is a mere second to get your camera up and shoot the picture. Even when setting up tripods’ conditions can change and provide dramatic photographic opportunities of the wonders of nature.
The philosophy behind every image is to foster appreciation for wildlife and scenic environments. By sharing authentic moments from the field, to encourage a deeper connection with the natural world, emphasizing conservation and the value of preserving these habitats for future generations.

Growing up in a hunting and fishing family prepared me for the long hours of wildlife photography. Many days you will go out and possibly not see any wildlife or what you intended to see or you will see something totally unexpected. Almost all of my focus is capturing animals in their natural habitats, ensuring authentic and compelling imagery.
